Today, all students and staff took the time to re-create the Indigenous Sun Symbol for National day for Truth and Reconciliation. As a Legacy school, we must acknowledge this day as a part of the path to Reconciliation.
The Indigenous Sun Symbol represents life-giving abundance with its warmth radiating healing and peace. The sun was freed and given back to the earth by the Raven, who released it out of its confining box. Since then, it has given all of humankind warmth, light, and life.
We are really proud of the students and staff for their help in making this work with 500 people!
