The Sexto Project is a partnership between schools, police departments and the Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions (DCPP) of Quebec to alert and educate elementary and secondary students about the growing phenomenon of sexting. It also offers an innovative intervention method to quickly and effectively counteract this problem and limit significant repercussions it can cause.
SEXTING AMONG TEENAGERS
Sexting among teenagers is defined as youth creating, sending or sharing sexual images and/or videos with peers via the Internet and/or electronic devices. This behaviour is of increasing concern for parents as well as for school and judicial stakeholders. The new reality is therefore forcing them to adapt their methods of intervention.
